This handmade vegan watercolor binder can be used to add to your watercolor paints and even for thickening calligraphy ink. The solution is 100% natural. You can add the binder to your watercolor paints to:

• increase transparency
• improve adhesion, gloss and brightness
• control drying time

You can also add some gum arabic binder to inks to prevent bleeding and feathering. Only do this if you use a dip pen or brush with your ink. Never add gum arabic to ink that you use in your fountain pen. It will clog up your fountain pen. I use my own recipe for the watercolor binder which contains gum arabic, vegetable glycerin, essential oils (as preservatives), distilled water and sugar (instead of honey).
